MARRIOTT | Swag Giveaway (DC & MD)

Easy couple of days before the real party begins on Saturday.

On Tuesday, we unpacked & got all the swag ready to be distributed. 

On Wednesday, at Marriott International, I passed out a bunch of swag to registrants of the DC Pride parade on Saturday. 

On Thursday, I checked in Marriott employees so they could get their swag for DC Pride Parade 2023. 

BIKE VALET at Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run (Washington, DC)

Duties: Set up tent & racks. Greet attendees. Register their information. Store their bikes while they attend the event. Shut down. 

Although it was raining at the beginning, a few people came out on their bikes. 

The most action we got this day was one line group of riders.

A fairly new position but a simple one. Assist potential customers with their interest in buying items at an estate sale. And of course, try to prevent theft. 

Sometimes, I get to express my creative side to try to entice sales.

Duties:  Greet attendees. Check-in attendees using an ipod. Distribute wine glass. Break down boxes.

This soccer game was labeled as an "International Friendly" but it was Peru vs El Salvador. Oh wow did they have a ton of fans amongst them in the DC area.

Duties:  Survey the crowd at main stage, to look for people in need of medical attention. 

For the other 3 days, checked wristbands to ensure no unauthorized individuals had access to secure areas of the festival.

 

 

Well, well, well. I no longer wonder what its like to work as CSC staff. These were the longest 4 days I have ever worked any event. Not sure if I'd do it again.

Duties:  Set up bike racks to maximize space. Situate divider racks to ensure bike security. Place event signage to direct attendees to location. 

Check-in attendees on Two Wheel app. Look after registrants bike. Ensure every registrant received the correct bike. Shut down display and clean up.
